Have you seen YSL’s marketing campaign for their new fragrance Parisienne yet? The heavy hitting label has tapped four serious minded bloggers (or should I say blogeuse..) to document “La Vie Parisienne” in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Miami. The five fashion savvy women will be running around their designated cities, snapping pictures and courting those “in the know” for insider interviews. A personal favorite so far is Piera & Christene’s chat with clothing designer Alice Ritter .

Stem Fort Greene

This morning I had the great pleasure of visiting Stem Fort Greene, a truly adorable flower shop. If you haven’t visited yet, you simply must!

Stem owners Rado and Delgis purvey seasonal floral arrangements, antiques and handmade goods from their storefront on South Oxford St- just blocks away from Thistle & Clover! Since opening this past June, Stem’s decor has garnered attention for being just as enchanting as their flowers: tree branch hooks adorn their shop and flowers are tended to in a vintage, british 1930s sink. Insiders tip: for blossoms that feel fresh off the farm, visit on Stem’s market days: Tues, Wed, Fri, & Sat. Rado was nice enough to let me snap some pics for y’all while I was there! I’m going on a mini break with Zach and my in-laws this weekend. We only have 2 full days there, but our schedule is already packed with trips to exotic eateries like Hot Dougs the encased meat emporium (Z’s wishlist, not mine), and our friend Scott Treleaven’s solo show at Kavi Gupta Gallery .

Don’t don’t that I’ll be making time for some serious Chicago shopping. The first stop on my list? Eskell , whose one-of-a-kind clothing we’ve carried since our inception. I’m also excited to see the local offerings of Habit , a store with a similar mission to ours. And of course I won’t miss out on window shopping at Ikram , Michelle Obama’s store of choice. Will report when back!
