Before I get started, let me first say how incredibly honored I am to be a part of Thistle & Clover's holiday season! Rand and Camilla are two of my favorite NY shop owners and I've been an admirer since T&C first opened. I only wish I lived closer so I could make browsing their expertly curated collection a regular weekend activity. Alas, I'm a New England gal now, so I covet from afar;).
The perfect holiday outfit. It's something we all have to think about... Be it the dreaded office party, dinner out with the gals, a yuletide first date or even New Year's Eve, it's always a shopping challenge. I've never been an expert at planning ahead. I'm the queen of last-minute shopping trips, once even rushing to Bloomingdale's on the morning of my office party to find something suitable to wear. While I always managed to find something, the selections were rarely dazzling and I typically spent far more than I should have. These days, a little older and perhaps a bit wiser, I try to plan ahead. My goal is versatility. Who wants to spent oodles of money on an outfit that gets worn once before getting relegated to the back of the closet? This year my holiday outfit revolves around one simple piece which will double as a sexy Winter layer, perfect to keep me going after the New Year's dust settles.
Now... shop, celebrate and dazzle! Happy Holidays!
