After Rachel Antonoff, Jene and I spent some time catching up at The Empire Hotel's Chowder House. We talked about how difficult it is to create original and innovative work in the competitive jewelry market. And how being informed about trends doesn't always translate into 'newness'. We decided that finding inspiration for a line is analagous to coming up with a new word in Boggle. You're trying to give life to something that is made up of a common genetic material (in sync with the contemporary aesthetic) but that's ultimately fresh and individual. We're working on putting together an ultra-exclusive deal for Refinery29 on some of Jene's pieces. More on that later!

While I'm catching up on fashion week posts at the store, Camilla is attending the much anticipated Kaelen presentation! Can't wait to hear all about it tomorrow afternoon. -RN
